ABSTRACT: The Cambridge Ellis Unit Summer School on Probabilistic Machine Learning took place at the University of Cambridge from July 13 to 17, 2026. It brought together students, researchers, and professionals for courses and talks on the state of the art in probabilistic machine learning.
Oleg attended as a student. In this talk, he will summarize each day of the event and highlight the topics that caught his interest, including Gaussian processes and physics-informed models. He will also share his conclusions about the field, and about the surprising number of talks that ended up being about LLMs.
